Mark Gatiss: my heartbreaking experience with cancer

Mark Gatiss revealed how he lost both his mother and sister to cancer during the second episode of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins for Stand Up To Cancer. Featuring in a cameo film, Mark shared fond memories of being with his relatives before losing them to the disease. Cared for by his sister, his mother passed away at home surrounded by family.
"My sister, and brother and my cousin and I, lots of people we sat around the bed and just laughed and told stories about her, and to her, and just remembered stuff."
However, shortly afterwards Mark's sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed away close to Christmas.
"It just seems so completely unfair that it was happening again so soon, but that's the truth of it."
